McIntosh Indian Residential School was located 3 miles north of the Station of McIntosh on the C.N. railway line 168 miles east of Winnipeg from 1925 - 1969. The School officially closed on June 30, 1969.
The school was operated by the Oblate Missionaries of Mary Immaculate from 1925 - 1969. In September 1962, an agreement was signed between the federal government and Indianescom (Oblate Indian and Eskimo Council) for the management and operation of the School.
